In 2005 Christine Richardson and John Lower set up Richlow to publish guide books of the canals and rivers adjacent to the tidal river Trent. But the area widened, with the whole of the South Pennine Ring, and the North and South Yorkshire Waterways added.
Now, 10 years later, personal circumstances have changed and they are moving on to other projects.
This free updates service on Richlow Info will remain for a few months, but further updates will not be posted.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Richlow, and the kind and gratifying comments from customers. All very much appreciated.
Please visit the waterways of the north-east, they are different from the rest of the network and well worth getting to know. Christine’s waterways-of-the-humber.blogspot.co.uk will show you why.

We've been made aware of the following - "Gone are the nightmare hydraulic gates and paddles. Nice new easy-to-operate gates and paddles in place."
We haven't yet seen this change for ourselves, but the news was posted by reliable Martin Clark.

Map 12 - Towpath Closure - From 19 December 2014 until September 2015.
The towpath will be closed between Jordan's Lock and Halfpenny Bridge (near the foot of the Tinsley lock flight). A signed diversion will be in place. The reason is improvements work being undertaken by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
The navigation will remain open.
